There are three steps to getting a website up and running. Firstly, you need to register a domain, such as www.grapeprojects.com. Secondly, you need to host your site on a server in order for it to be accessible via the Internet. Lastly you need to design and create your website.

Domain Registration

Domain registration of a .co.za domain costs R70 for the first year, and R70 for subsequent years; and a .com domain costs R150 for the first year, and R150 for subsequent years. If your main target audience is countrywide, we recommend registering a .co.za domain. If you would like to target a global audience, a .com domain is recommended. you will also get a personalised email@domain.

Website Hosting

Grape Projects guarantees a 99.9% uptime for your website and has a number of hosting packages available. For a simple website that is purely informational, we recommend the Micro package at R19 per month with a once-off setup fee of R49 per month. If you already have or you decide to create your own website and host it with us, We will provide you with FTP details to upload your site onto the hosting server.

Website Design

Grape Projects has a number of different website design options available.

a)Static pages - This is if you need only a few pages to tell the world about your company. This is also good if your pages will not change very often.

b)Database driven pages or CMS - This is when we use an existing website tool to create a website for you that has many pages.The website is linked to a database and the database contains all the information and you can change pages yourself. Such systems are good when your website much change regularly and has many pages and is only recommended for advanced users.

c)e-Commerce - This is when we create a database system where you can load your products and sell them directly on the internet by accepting credit cards. Only advanced users should consider this. You will have to update your list of products by yourself.

d)Customized Database website. - This is where your needs are specific and you need a specific website with advanced database capabilities. This is only for advanced users.
